Syria shuts southern air space following Iranian missile attack on Israel Syria has temporarily closed air routes in the south of the country, the official news agency SANA reports, following Iranian missile fire towards Israel. The Syrian Civil Aviation Organisation announced the restrictions on Sunday night. It also suspended all flight operations at Damascus International Airport for 12 hours.
