Trump says 'there are talks', Tehran wants to talk
Trump says 'there are talks', Tehran wants to talk US President Donald Trump has said that talks with Iran are ongoing, and that Tehran wants to talk, while reiterating that Washington was not engaged in a "typical war". “There are talks. They want to talk. They keep talking. We have time, frankly. It’s a war, but it is not a typical war,” he told reporters in the Oval Office. Trump has alternated between hinting at new strikes on Iran and saying a deal is possible.

How FLIC Trust Scores workFLIC Trust Scores turn community ratings into a 0–100 signal about how readers assess a story. Fake News votes lower the score, while Liberal, Conservative, and Independent classifications support it. The formula also rewards a balanced split between Liberal and Conservative ratings instead of treating one political viewpoint as automatically more trustworthy. Scores can change as more people vote and represent community judgment, not a factual verdict or substitute for reading the original reporting. Learn more about how FLIC works.
