Gun violence in Guadeloupe: A never-ending fight against firearms

On the French Caribbean archipelago of Guadeloupe, there is one gun for every 10 residents. Since the beginning of the year, 12 people have already been shot and killed by gunfire. Anti-crime brigades are doing their best to address the issue, but the number of offenders is on the rise and they are increasingly young. Our France 2 colleagues report, with FRANCE 24's Lauren Bain.

How FLIC Trust Scores workFLIC Trust Scores turn community ratings into a 0–100 signal about how readers assess a story. Fake News votes lower the score, while Liberal, Conservative, and Independent classifications support it. The formula also rewards a balanced split between Liberal and Conservative ratings instead of treating one political viewpoint as automatically more trustworthy. Scores can change as more people vote and represent community judgment, not a factual verdict or substitute for reading the original reporting. Learn more about how FLIC works.
